National Institute for Health and Care Research

Participating in research

Research is a big part of the work we do, and we have many exciting ways for you to get involved. If there is a relevant opportunity you could take part in, then we will discuss this with you during your treatment planning appointment. Taking part in research is entirely optional and we will always give you the chance to make an informed decision about whether you wish to participate. We work closely with families, young people, and clinicians to inform our research and improve the delivery of our service. Working with these groups helps ensure the research we do is helpful and done in a way that families find acceptable and interesting.

If you are interested in getting involved with advising us on our research, then we can talk about this with you when we see you.
